Conditioning Your Avalanche Roses
The Avalanche Roses is a high-end, opulent rose and absolutely beautiful when fully open. Always
condition correctly to get the most out of your Avalanche Roses:
-
Cut the stems of the avalanche roses at a 45 degree angle with a sharp florists knife.
-
Remove all of the lower foliage.
-
Remove the thorns, trying not to damage the bark.
-
Fill clean flower buckets with boiling water & sterilising tablets.
-
Once sterilised, tip the water out & refill the bucket with tepid water
& Chrysal flower food.
-
Place your stripped Avalanche Roses in the bucket - submerge in water to just below the
flower heads.
-
Leave your avalanche roses over night to hydrate thoroughly - they will be perfect to
work with in the morning.
-
Do not leave the avalanche roses near a radiator, in direct sunlight, near fruit, or in a
draughty place.
A Top Tip!
The outer petals on Avalanche Roses are 'guard petals'. These petals are often darker in
colour and thicker than the inner petals. For a vibrant fresh look, remove the guard
petals with your fingers.
